The Outer Banks has many options for yoga practice, from studio classes to private beach classes and even stand-up paddle board yoga. Check out some of our local yoga studios below and the classes that they offer, there is surely something for everyone!

 

Village Yoga, Duck

Village Yoga has plenty of classes to choose from including 5Elements Water Flow, Basic Yoga, Gentle Yoga, High to Low Flow, Kunga Basic, Vinyasa Flow, Warm Kunga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and more advanced classes. Private and group yoga sessions are also available which can include your own private beach yoga session!

In addition to their standard and private yoga classes, Village Yoga offers PWYC classes (“pay what you can”), which are donation based classes that anyone can attend and donate what they can afford for the class (suggested $10).

The Studio, Nags Head

The Studio’s classes include Deep Athletic Stretch, Gentle Yoga, Karma/Gratitude Yoga, Guided Mediation, Hatha Yoga, Heated Yoga Flow, Karma Kids After-School, Kids Yoga, Mom & Me Yoga, Multi-Level Yoga, Pilates, Restorative/Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, and Yoga Sculpt. The Studio also has special events/programs and yoga workshops on the weekend.

Corolla Yoga

Corolla Yoga offers Multi-Level Vinyasa group classes at the Lighthouse Ramp beach access on Corolla Village Road. These are seasonal outdoor classes, so be sure to bring sunscreen, water, and a mat or towel.  Corolla Yoga also offers private yoga sessions that can be held on the beach of your choosing or in your home.

Outer Banks Yoga

Outer Banks Yoga has two locations, one in Kitty Hawk and one open seasonally in Corolla. They also offer beach yoga group classes during warmer months. Studio classes include Hatha-Vinyasa, Gentle/Beginner, Pilates Mat, Slow Flow, Chanting & Meditation, Power Vinyasa, Vinyasa, Insight Meditation, Beginner Hatha-Vinyasa, Yoga for Seniors, Karma Yoga (donation), and T’ai Yoga Latte along with weekend events and workshops.

SUP Yoga

For a unique Outer Banks yoga experience, consider trying stand-up paddle boarding yoga! There are a few companies on the Outer Banks that offer these classes. This is great way to enjoy the beauty of the Outer Banks while practicing yoga. Check out Kitty Hawk Kayak SUP yoga, Kitty Hawk Kites SUP yoga, and Outer Banks Paddleboard SUP Yoga.

Hatteras Yoga

Hatteras Yoga also offers private studio and beach classes, as well as a number of walk-in studio classes. Studio classes include Vinyasa Flow, Power Vinyasa, Beginner Vinyasa, Chakra, and Yoga Wheel.
