The Taste of the Beach is an annual event held by the Outer Banks Restaurant Association to celebrate fine food and drink on the Outer Banks. Explore the best that the Outer Banks has to offer all in one weekend event!
There is a large array of events that you could attend during the four days. Some of the featured events include:
The NC Chef’s Wine Dinner & TOB Kickoff Event includes top chefs from the Outer Banks as well as the three top chefs from throughout North Carolina. This will be a six course dinner and each course will be paired with North Carolina fine wines. Hosted at Basnight’s Lone Cedar Café on March 23, tickets are $124 and the event runs from 6:30pm-9pm.
The Outer Banks BBQ & Wing Showdown will be held on March 24 from 12pm-3pm at the Soundside Event Site in Nags Head. For $28 you get to taste around 15 different vendors BBQ & wing and then vote for the Best Outer Banks BBQ. There will also be a beer garden with local NC beers and wines, and live music by Jonny Waters & Co.
The grand finale is the Sysco Grand Tasting & Bartenders Bubbly Bash on March 26 from 12pm-5pm at the Port O’ Call in Kill Devil Hills. This event is $50 and includes 18 restaurants and the best beverage vendors.
