Grab your leather jacket, fire up the Harley and head to the Outer Banks for the 15th annual Outer Banks bike week. Enjoy southern hospitality from local restaurants, hotels or vacation rental homes and retailers who know its spring by the sound of the roar of those Harley engines. They will be the first to throw out a warm welcome to all our biker visitors.
The fun begins on Saturday April 22, at 9am at the OBX Harley Davidson location in Harbinger. Opening day is packed full of events with a bikini bike wash, Miss Bike Week contest, bike show, poker run and live music. Sunday’s events include a bikini contest, the poker run awards and more live music.
There are all day guided rides scheduled Monday through Thursday to include the National Parks and the Graveyard of the Atlantic. Even without a guide, the Outer Banks barrier island is delightful to cruise from Corolla to Hatteras Island. Take the beach road or ride along the sound for a peaceful waterfront views and enjoy all our natural beauty. Restaurants and retailers up and down the beach pull out the stops with events, specials and activities to appeal to the bikers. Spring has sprung and our island is bursting with new life, with Dogwoods, azaleas and more spring flowers in bloom. It is one great ride!
The week-long bike week event finishes with a flourish, with top notch live music festival featuring Slaughter and Great White on Friday and Christopher Shayne and Molly Hatchet on Saturday. The event concludes on Sunday with a blessing of the bike and more live music.
The Outer Banks bike week is a premier biker destination on the East Coast. If you are looking for a new crib for your hog, schedule an appointment to see real estate available from Corolla to Hatteras Island.
